Me Time

Today I spent some much-needed “me time” out of the house and totally alone.  It has been a long time since I have spent time by myself doing something I enjoy.   I had just planned to run a few errands but added a few stops along the way.  I headed down town to a local farmers market for grass-fed beef, fruits, and veggies.  I usually have the kids with me so today I took time to smell the flowers  literally.  I walked to a couple of the antique stores that I have been wanting to visit since we moved here almost 4 years ago.  My short trip home ended with a honk, a smile, and a wave as I passed by our local “Occupy.”  I arrived home feeling refreshed.  It is amazing what a difference 2 hours can make.

You know what?   I really like hanging out with me!  What do you do during your “me time?”  Next time I think I will bring a book and drink coffee in a cozy cafe corner.
