Organizing Spring: The Playroom

We recently converted our guest room into to a playroom.  It is on the main floor of our home and we are loving it.  Our guest room is now in the basement which allow guests more privacy and gives us more livable space.  Win-win.  These are the after pictures to show and tell some of the organizational ideas I implemented.

A ribbon strung between 2 eye hooks for an art display.  I placed the long block shelves jetting out into the room to act as a divider between the toy/kitchen area and the table/art area.

This popcorn tub is from the Dollar Tree and holds this foam floor puzzle nicely.  Lots of canvas bins to contain smaller and like toys.

The 2 toy benches make a great craft, sitting area paired with the table.  One toy bench holds stuffed animals inside and the other is for dress up clothes and such.

I painted these small crates which were originally used to hold CD’s.  I attached them to the wall out of the kid’s reach.  I store markers, paint supplies, etc. here so I can monitor their use.  I used paper sorter shelves to house puzzles.

This is the movie area where the kids watch movies on a VCR.  Yes, VCR!  Hey, VHS tapes are $.50 at garage sales, can’t beat it.  Next to the TV stand is a box full of small pillows and cozy blankets to curl up in!

We are really enjoying this new space and the best part is that when it’s a mess we can just close the door:)!

Where do you store all those toys and such?
